ASHKAHN (pronounced ash-con) is the multidisciplinary studio & company of artist to the stars, stationery prince, winemaker, and all around bon vivant, Ashkahn Shahparnia. He lives and works in Santa Maria, CA.

Some of his interests include: bananas, the movie Amadeus, tequila, Charles Bukowski, John Coltrane, his wife Melissah and daughter Ivy. He has been featured in Interview Magazine, Paper Magazine, The New York Times & Taschen to name a few. In 2011 he was nominated by Print Magazine’s prestigious Top 20 Under 30. Ashkahn also has a line of greeting cards and stationery that is sold in more than 500+ stores worldwide. He recently released his first wine, a 2020 Chardonnay named "LOU".

2022 Lou Chardonnay

Spectacular Chardonnay sourced from the family owned and organically farmed, Donnachadh Vineyard. Located on Santa Rosa Road in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA of Santa Barbara County. The climate of the Santa Rita Hills is dominated by the Pacific Ocean, which lies about 9 miles from the vineyard.  Morning fog cools the grapes and consistent afternoon ocean breezes keep heat from building up over the course of the day.

The fruit was pressed whole cluster and fermented and aged in stainless barrels for 10 months untouched. Unfined, unfiltered with absolutely no additions. Think salty yuzu mineral bomb, creme brûlée and Meyer lemon.
